Sustainability
Sustainability is one of the key decision points for business and individuals today, influencing corporate and personal choices
what we do
This Committee will cover policy developments in all areas of sustainability – environmental, economic and social – and the challenges and opportunities for business and individuals.
Sustainability and climate action will be a key theme running through all future EU policy proposals and initiatives as the focus is on the Green Deal. This will produce a range of new regulations for businesses to work within. The UK has an advanced green agenda too and as hosts for COP 26 later in 2021, is uniquely placed to showcase and drive forward the green agenda.
As a member community we will share best practice and learn from each other, showcasing our expertise. We will seek to bring in external thought leaders, policy experts and business leaders from the UK and the EU to address the concerns of our membership. We will take positions on key sustainability topics that matter to our members.
Regular events:
- Focusing on the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), the EU Green Deal Series and ‘Fit for 55’ proposal in the future of the European Union.
- Providing our members with insight into Taxonomy, Sustainable Finance and ES&G with speakers from the world of public policy and the EU decision making process, as well as in the world of finance and business.
- Briefings with a focus on the environment, energy and the circular economy with a focus on adopting sustainable business practices.
