BritCham has created an Alumni Committee to connect past and present associates of the Chamber. The goal of the Committee is to keep one another connected and offer support within the network and beyond where possible.

We are delighted to welcome Peter Bell to a virtual interview-style discussion. Peter is the founder of the Commercial Tenants Association and was also interim Chief Executive of the British Chamber in 2019. Peter has founded other businesses, and the Alumni Committee will ask a series of questions to Peter, covering his wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, how he has plunged into the world of business and the lessons he would offer to those looking to follow suit.

We encourage you to send any questions that you would like Peter to answer to events.officer@britcham.eu before 11th October.

This event is organised by the British Chambers' Alumni Committee and is open to young professionals looking for career guidance and inspiration.

Mr Peter Bell

CEO, Expedite Group Europe SPRL
A serial entrepreneur, Peter has been the founder and Chief Executive of a number of businesses in the IT and Commercial Property sectors. He founded his first business, Structured Cabling Installations (SCI), in 1989 at the beginning of computer networking. After raising venture capital investment to fund exponential growth, the business was eventually sold in 1995 to Microvitec with Peter taking a position on the listed PLC board as Marketing Director. In 1997 he set up what is now the Expedite Group of Companies which provides a range of services to the commercial property sector predominantly in Central London. In 2016 he moved to Brussels where he became a member of the British Chamber of Commerce, joining the Board in 2018 as Chair of the Business, Trade and Investment Committee. In December 2019 he took on the role of interim Chief Executive and guided the Chamber’s transition through the COVID pandemic and to the appointment of a new CEO. His latest venture has been setting up the Commercial Tenants Association (the CTA), an independent membership organisation that represents the interests of over 900,000 commercial lease and license holders across the UK. The membership ranges from independent traders to large corporate organisations. The CTA aims to create a fairer and more equitable market which has been dominated by landlords for centuries. Following the launch of the CTA in March 2021, Peter has regularly appeared on Sky News and in the press, championing the cause for more rights and protection for commercial tenants. He is now attending a series of Government roundtables which are addressing the £7bn commercial rent debt arrears with legislation being formed for binding arbitration later this year. A consummate communicator, innovative sales and marketing professional and a forward-thinking business strategist, Peter has received recognition for business acumen from KPMG and Institute of Directors.
