On 25 January, the Chamber and hub.Brussels are delighted to invite the State Secretary of the Brussels Capital Region, Mr Pascal Smet to a luncheon where we will discuss how Brussels as a city acts as a hub for international business. We will also address the Brexit Adjustment Reserve. After Brexit, the European Union set up a special Brexit Adjustment Reserve (BAR). The Brussels regional government has drawn up an action plan to address key challenges.

Pascal Smet is State Secretary of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for Urbanism and Heritage, European and International Relations, Foreign Trade and Fire fighting and Emergency medical Assistance. With these competences, he wants to make Brussels dashing and put it on the international map as the cosmopolitan, creative and dynamic city it is. He has one great motivation and source of inspiration for his work in Brussels: the city itself.
