Born in the UK, Sue also holds Belgian citizenship and has lived in Belgium for 16 years. She has worked in EU affairs for more than 25 years, 15 of these being for international member organizations. Her interest in improving services to members inspired her to undertake a Master’s Degree in Leading Innovation and Change, for which her thesis was about adding value in member organizations. She also has a Postgraduate Certificate in EU Law.
With a wide and varied career in both public and private sectors, Sue has most recently worked in the field of construction, as a lobbyist for the industry. As Director of Technical and Environmental Affairs, she has worked with both the European Commission and the European Parliament on relevant policy developments affecting contractors.
Sue is a native English speaker, fluent in French and basic German skills.
