This morning, BritCham EU's Sustainability Committee, in partnership with Acumen Public Affairs, hosted a panel on the CSDDD. When the CSDDD is gradually introduced from 2027, businesses of many different types and sizes will have to report on how their supply chains abide by human rights and climate protections.

The event was moderated by Giles Keane with speakers Matthew Hogarth, Policy Officer to MEP Lara Wolters (S&D, Rapporteur for the CSDDD) and Greta Koch, Policy Adviser and Press Officer to MEP Axel Voss (EPP, Shadow Rapporteur for the CSDDD). They both offered valuable insight on the CSDDD acquired from their hands-on experience working on the directive's legislative process.

The discussion provided clarity on how organisations can comply with the Directive, proactively work with competitors and civil society to share best practices, and how the EU is using the existing OECD guidelines as template for the CSDDD.
