European Economic Security
& Competitiveness
The British Chamber of Commerce EU has developed a programme of European industrial consultation that will inspire solutions-focused recommendations to inform the production of a report aimed at ‘Unlocking Mutual Opportunities’ to be published in November 2025. The programme will culminate in a full-day
European Economic Security and Competitiveness Summit in Q1 2026.
European Economic Security & Competitiveness
As the global political, economic and technological dynamics rapidly evolve, Europe stands at a
pivotal moment in which the European Union and the United Kingdom have a unique
opportunity to work together to shape resilient and forward-facing strategies that strengthen
long-term European security and competitiveness.
At the core of this opportunity is the need to ensure continuous access to critical raw materials,
protect sensitive technologies and to accelerate investment in innovation and enable regulatory
alignment where it is strategically and mutually beneficial. Through deeper cooperation and industry-led insights, we can build a more agile,
competitive, and secure European economy, a win-win for both the EU and the UK.
