The Chamber hosted a high-level discussion on Delivering European Security: Keeping Ukraine Supplied. It was a fascinating event with civilian and military representatives from Ukraine, and the European defence industry.

The event was an excellent opportunity to take stock of where Ukraine is now, both in the political sense with negotiations with the EU commencing this week, and in the military sense, with millions of rounds of ammunition and urgent support still required by Ukraine.

With this backdrop and with the continued escalation of Russia's aggression, the need for government to work with industry has never been clearer.

We are proud to have hosted this event with our Patron member Clover Group.

Many thanks to our distinguished speakers:

  • Tuija Karanko, 1st Vice-Chair of the NATO Industry Advisory Group and Secretary-General of PIA - Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries
  • Serhiy Tereshko, Deputy Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union
  • Major General Serhii Salkutsan, Mission of Ukraine to NATO
  • Paul Lavery, CEO of Clover Group
  • Juraj Majcin, Policy Analyst for Defence & Security at the European Policy Centre (Moderator)

We also extend our thanks to Philippe Lefevre, Co-Chair of the BritCham Defence & Security Committee, for organising the event.
