Energy Industry Workshop with Guest Speakers
Energy Industry Workshop with Guest Speakers
Energy, infrastructure and technology integration have always been vital to the EU and UK.
On Tuesday, 22 October, the Chamber is hosting a workshop for energy specialists to contribute your knowledge, position and expertise to our upcoming report on an EU-UK Green Economy Partnership. The workshop will be followed by a talk with guest speakers, including Elena Beianu - Senior Advisor, WindEurope and Natasha Sogol - Head of Energy at UK Mission to the European Union (UKMIS) followed by networking drinks.
We are calling on the EU and UK to closely cooperate on Net Zero in order to fulfil their climate objectives, and energy is among the five key pillars on which we encourage structured dialogue between the EU and UK to achieve their Net Zero objectives.
The workshop, led by Matt Hinde (Head of EU Affairs, National Grid), will include leading voices in business, NGOs, trade associations and policy experts, focusing on renewables, electric grids, nuclear, hydrogen, batteries, alternative fuels, CCUS (carbon capture, usage and storage), energy efficiency of industrial processes and energy infrastructure technology and integration.
The discussions and outcomes of the workshop will form the basis for our energy pillar in our upcoming EU-UK Green Economy Partnership report.
The workshop will take place at the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium, at Boulevard Bischoffsheim 11, 1000 Brussels.
