Entry/Exit System (EES)
Entry/Exit System (EES)
Webinar
The Trade Facilitation Committee is pleased to invite you to a special webinar featuring John Keefe, Chief Corporate and Public Affairs Officer at Getlink Group, and Doug Bannister, Chief Executive at the Port of Dover. The online event is set for the 5th of September, from 15:30 to 16:45 CEST.
Mr Keefe has more than two decades experience working at Getlink and Eurotunnel in communications and public affairs. Mr Bannister has over 30 years experience in international business, and has held roles with the Ports of Jersey and leading sea transportation companies.
This webinar offers a fantastic platform for our members to engage with distinguished experts and gain a deeper understanding of the upcoming implementation, effects and outcomes of the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES).
The EES will be an automated IT system for registering travellers from third-countries, both short-stay visa holders and visa exempt travellers, each time they cross an EU external border. The entry into force of the EES is now scheduled for November 2024 after having been delayed multiple times. It will collect biometric data, travel document information and record date and place of entry and exit.
Please find an EES factsheet here for your convenience.
Register as soon as possible to participate in an enlightening and impactful discussion.
