WTO Ministerial Conference Roundtable

The Trade Policy Committee is pleased to invite you to a special event featuring Ignacio Garcia Bercero, a former Director at DG Trade, European Commission. The event will take place on the 27th of May, from 15:00 to 16:30 CEST, at the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium. 

Mr ​Garcia Bercero accumulated decades of experience across a large range of trade related policy areas, serving as EU chief Negotiator for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), and overseeing activities related to the US, Canada and EU Neighbouring countries.

This roundtable offers a fantastic platform for our members to engage with a distinguished expert in EU trade policies, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to gain deeper insights into the topmost decision-making body of the WTO, which provides a voice for all its members.

The most recent conference, MC13, took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE between 26 February and 2 March 2024. Ministers met to review the functioning of the multilateral trading system and to take action on the future work of the WTO. Please find the documents from MC 13 here for your convenience.
